Erythritol: The Natural Secret to Guilt-Free Indulgence

Erythritol is a natural sweetener belonging to the sugar alcohol family known as polyols, which are found abundantly in fruits and vegetables such as grapes and watermelon, as well as in soy sauce. 🌟

It is very low in calories: 0.2 kcal/g compared to 4 kcal/g for sugar. This makes it an excellent alternative for reducing sugar intake while still enjoying your favorite treats. 🥰

Here is my best chocolate recipe using erythritol 🍫:

Nutritional Profile (Per serving):

  • Calories: 430

  • Fats: 38.6g

  • Proteines: 12.9g

  • Net Carbs: 4.1g

Ingredients:

  • 150g dark chocolate (100% cocoa)

  • 20g erythritol

  • 15cl heavy liquid cream (full fat)

  • 5cl almond milk

  • 4 eggs

Instructions:

🌟 Melt the chocolate in a double boiler (bain-marie), remove from heat, and set aside.

🌟 Whisk the egg yolks with the erythritol, then stir in the melted chocolate followed by the almond milk.

🌟 Beat the egg whites until stiff peaks form. Gently fold half of the egg whites into the chocolate mixture.

🌟 Delicately incorporate the remaining egg whites.

🌟 Whip the heavy cream until stiff (chantilly) and gently fold it into the chocolate-egg mixture.

🌟 Pour into 4 small ramekins and refrigerate for at least 3 hours.
